6 things to keep in your purse

January 28, 2012 · Posted By: Elena Mest

1. USB Drive
Whether you’re a student or not, I have found it invaluable to have a USB on me.  From finding yourself in a jam with a last minute paper due for a class, or you’re just over at a friends house and want to grab some pictures and music off their laptop you’ll be glad you have one with you.

2. Mini Sewing/ Repair Kit

I remember once right before going out with some friends, a button popping off my favorite jacket and I was totally bummed especially because it was a cold night out.  So from then on out I put a miniature sowing kit, like the kind that they give away for free at hotels, in my purse.

3. Employment Information and References

While sounding kind of odd at first, trust me this one has come in handy more times than I can count.  If your have a smart phone just save it as a permanent document on there or all else fails keep a printed copy in your purse.  In this economy you never know when you’ll run into an opportunity for a job and having your info on you will be super convenient.

4. Cash

I’m guilty of it too, counting on my debit card for every little thing and in most cases debit cards work just fine, but there still are instances where you can get really screwed with out cash.  I would say try to carry with you at least 30 dollars. Credit cards are good, but cash is better.

5. Baby Wipes

Ok lets be honest, for us ladies finding a bathroom in an emergency can be challenging at best and then when you get in there who’s to even say there will even be toilet paper?! We have all faced this dilemma one too many times, so solution? baby wipes.  More than this these babies (no pun intended, ok maybe a little bit) will be useful in all other types of situations, they are good for everything.

6. Band-aids, Tweezers and Perfume

These are self explanatory but always the kind of things you wished you had on you at the right moment.  So through a few band-aids, a cheap drug store tweezer and a little sample perfume in your purse and never have the fear of being without.
