Rick Santorum thinks colleges are just brainwashing factories

January 26, 2012 · Posted By: Emily Kelley

As the Republican presidential candidate race continues on with the last four candidates, each candidate is really pulling out all the stops to make sure they slander their opponents and make the craziest statements as possible.

Currently driving the crazy train is Rick Santorum. Santorum has already made headlines about his slightly extreme views. Most recently, he said that victims of rape shouldn’t have abortions and should simply “make the best out of a bad situation.”

Now, he’s continuing his craziness by saying that college is not just a place to earn a degree so people can get good jobs, but a secret Democrat indoctrination institution along with the entertainment industry.

“Higher education was the first to go, a long time ago,” he said.

While speaking at the First Baptist Church in Naples, Florida yesterday Santorum claimed that the Left uses universities to “indoctrinate” young people for the end purpose of maintaining power. “It’s no wonder President Obama wants every kid to go to college,” he said.

Right. President Barack Obama wants us to go to college because he wants to brainwash us, not so that we can be educated and productive adults. That makes total sense.

Santorum also argued that colleges and universities would receive no funding if they taught Judeo-Christian principles, but by teaching radical secular ideology, these schools are given government backing.

“Radical secular ideology?” Seriously? You mean things like gravity? Or evolution? Radical, bro. But teaching that the Earth is only 6,600 years old and humans lived with dinosaurs and a man died and then came back to life three days later is way more plausible than any secular ideology.

He then asserted that 62 percent of young people who enter college with a set of religious beliefs leave without one. The presidential candidate concluded his speech by urging his audience not to give their money to universities that are undermining the country by spreading left-wing ideology.

For the record, Santorum went to Penn State and the University of Pittsburgh, both public, radically secular universities and he’s still religious as ever.

So Santorum is urging Americans not to send their children to college because colleges make children think for themselves. Great message. Does anyone actually believe this guy?

Luckily, most of the brainwashed indoctrinated leftists students don’t like Santorum very much. Recently, a crowd of college students booed the former Pennsylvania senator in New Hampshire after he made an analogy between gay marriage and polygamy.

This is a pretty classic case projection, since conservative Republicans are basically experts on indoctrination. Don’t believe me? Watch Fox News for about 10 minutes. There are actually studies that show that people who watch Fox News actually know less than people who watch ZERO news.

That’s really why Santorum doesn’t want people to go to college, because Republicans want to keep their followers ignorant or they might stop believing in the crazy things they’ve been told their whole lives.
