These days it seems like college is more of a prison sentence then a wild and crazy experience like it’s portrayed in movies. But some colleges are still known for their fun loving, have-a-good-time attitudes. Whether it’s the cities they’re located in or the kind of students who go there, but here are the 5 most fun loving campuses:
1. Boston University
BU is probably a fun place to be because Boston is a fun place to be. There are Irish pubs on just about every corner, not to mention a ton of fantastic restaurants and historical places. BU’s most popular major is business, and you know what they say, “Work hard, play hard.”
2. College of Charleston
Known as the C of C, it’s the oldest college in South Carolina and the 13th oldest in the nation. It’s been used as a filming location in General Hospital and The Notebook and others. It also has a very healthy Greek Life that’s been active from more than 120 years.
3. Denison University
Located in Granville, Ohio, Denison is a residential campus, so students really get to know each other during their time there. It has an active athletics program, as well as Greek Life.
4. Indiana University Bloomington
The flagships school of the Indiana university system has a long tradition of athletic excellence in many sports, which always adds to a festive environment on campus. It also has the oldest, largest and most vibrant program of it’s kind with the Borns Jewish Studies program, which aims to foster leadership skills, civic responsibility, and academic achievement through interdisciplinary study of the Jewish people and civilization.
5. Louisiana State University, Baton Rogue
Most often referred to as LSU, it boasts more than 350 student organizations, a healthy Greek Life and, of course, some tough sports teams (The Tigers football team made it to the BCS championship this year).
