USC’s Matt Barkley takes to Twitter on Valentine’s Day

February 15, 2012 · Posted By: Pippa Gage

I don’t care what anyone says: Matt Barkley is great. USC’s probation is officially over and the team is poised to take the No.1 or No.2 spot in the coming season, thanks, in large part, to the young man mentioned above.

Unfortunately for the rest of you lads, Barkely is more than just some football player. He’s smart, talented and pretty decent looking and took the opportunity to continue to rub that in everyone else’s faces, along with the added bonus of his showing off his gorgeous girlfriend.

The USC quarterback tweeted a picture of said girlfriend, Seattle Pacific soccer player Brittany Langdon, just to prove that he’s holding all the cards and you’re probably not. And on Valentine’s Day no less. Those “Forever Alone” memes are looking more like you everyday aren’t they?

And don’t mistake Langdon as some piece of arm candy, either. The junior midfielder was a first-team All-American, a four-year letter winner and two-time team captain at Northwood High School in Irivine, CA. And she obviously cleans up well.

Barkley tweeted the photo Tuesday along with the message: “Missing my Valentine right now… But distance makes the heart grow fonder! #HappyValentinesDay.

For the USC haters, you can at least take solace in the fact that they didn’t see each other yesterday. But then you’ll have to think about how great they are.

Aren’t you happy Valentine’s Day is over?
